Homecoming

I can tell that my mom’s excited about her one (and so far, only) grandchild’s visit next week. She hasn’t seen her since she moved back here, and that was three months ago.

My niece lives far from where we are because of his dad’s church commitments. You see, my brother-in-law is a minister. And because of that, they move from city to city, sometimes, region to region to meet the needs of the church’s people. I can’t say that I’m happy about this, but I understand.

When my dad was still alive, we also did the same thing because he was also a minister. I’ve lived in three different provinces and 12 different houses in just the first 14 years of my life, and I’ve met countless people who’ve touched my life in one way or another.

Meeting people, that was, I one of the perks of being a minister’s daughter.

Anyway, I can’t wait too. My niece will definitely be spoiled while she’s here. Anything she wants, she will get. She’s barely a year old, but hey… she cries when she doesn’t get her milk on time. That’s something.

You come from Point A, I'm from Point B. Everyone has his own origin, but I'm pretty sure about this: that you and I have intersected, at one point or another. Or if we haven't, I'm pretty sure we will... one of these days.
